Program Guidelines

In principle

We reserve the right to exclude persons and groups who belong to right-wing extremist parties or organizations, who belong to the right-wing extremist scene or who have already made racist, nationalist, anti-Semitic, anti-Muslim or other inhuman statements in the past from the program tents.

Party advertising or party events of any kind are not permitted.

In order to offer a program that is as diverse as possible, we enforce a maximum quota of 25% program points for the program curated by us, which are held by non-disabled, white cis-hetero men. The assessment of whether speakers or groups fall into this category is left to them when they register.

Needs should be well communicated. This includes coordination with us and other groups, as well as the needs of speakers. If you are still missing an important point in the program guidelines or in the awareness concept, please let us know in a timely manner.

We reserve the right to interrupt content if these program guidelines, the awareness concept or the Code of Conduct are not respected.

What is important to us regarding curating groups?

We consider curating groups to be groups that help shape the program. We would like them to do the following:

  • The passing on and confirmation of these program guidelines to/by the speakers.
  • Passing on and confirmation of the awareness concept and the Code of Conduct to/by the speakers.
  • Intervention in the event of violations of the aforementioned documents
  • A program that is not predominantly made up of non-disabled, white, cis-hetero men.
  • Marking whether an event room is open or closed. (People can still join an open event space after it has started, but not a closed one).
  • Conscious communication to visitors. In particular, this includes trigger notices and appropriate language that is accessible to as many people as possible.
  • Compliance with the assembly guidelines, for example the night’s rest.
  • Some flexibility in the event of disruptions. Lecture and meal times can be changed or spontaneous (emergency) plenary sessions can be convened.
  • Dealing with (funding) money in a spirit of solidarity. We want to avoid reproducing the precariat, e.g. the gender pay gap. We are aware that speakers are often precariously organized.

What do we expect from the speakers?

Speakers prepare program points. What we wish from them:

  • Avoid uncritical reproduction of power constructs such as the gender binary of woman and man.
  • Trigger notes for content if necessary
  • Allow sufficient breaks for the length of the program and, if necessary, observe meal times.
  • Communicate your own needs for the event space and time at the camp at an early stage. Examples include accessibility or childcare.
  • Read and agree to these program guidelines, the awareness concept and the Code of Conduct.

What is important for visitors?

If you are disturbed by the content of the program or would like to talk to the speakers about problematic content, please contact the awareness team in confidence.
